New York University - The Human Project: Pilot

Task

Constrained by a set budget and deadline, re-write, edit and make appropriate for animation the client provided scripts, create storyboards, develop illustration style and animate five explainer videos each of durations between one and three minutes.

Solution

Firstly I edited and rewrote the clients scripts to make them clearer and suitable for animation. Secondly I created storyboards. These were then reviewed and approved by NYU's lawyers and research board. I then developed an illustration and animation style that would allow for the videos to be created within the clients budget and time limit. Finally I animated in Moho and Aftereffects the five explainer videos.

New York University - The Human Project: Launch

Task

After the pilot launch of the The Human Project using the explainer videos already developed, the client wanted to develop the videos further and more than double the amount of explainer videos required. Working alongside an illustrator and second animator, lead the development of the storyboards and videos.

Solution

Working from the scripts, along with a second animator, I developed storyboards to create a visual narrative to marry with the scripts and voiceovers. I then animated half of the videos that client required. It was a tight deadline and large number of videos were required, the solution was to use Moho for the character animations allowing for quick execution and for the videos to be delivered on time.

Zebra – 2D Corporate Explainer Videos

Task

Provided with storyboards and artwork create animatics and advise on script amends, animate and produce explainer videos to a set deadline and budget.

Solution

With these projects I gave advice on improving the scripts and storyboards. I then prepared the artwork assets for animating and using the voiceover for timing reference I created the explainer videos and deliver them within budget and on time.

Zebra – 3D Corporate Explainer Videos

Task

Provided with storyboards, create animatics and advised on script amends, animate and produce explainer videos to a set deadline and budget.

Solution

For these two projects I gave advice on improving the scripts and storyboards. I then prepared the 3D assets in Cinema 4D. Using the voiceover for timing reference I animated the explainer videos in Cinema4D and After Effects, delivering them within budget and on time.
