Task

To animate and find motion graphics solutions, bringing to life a series of illustrations across a storyboard.

Solution

I was provided with illustrations for each shot, I then recreated these in After Effects and Cinema 4D, animating them into one continuous transition. I then prepared the video for broadcast on national TV.

Task

Take photoshop design files of the adverts and bring them to life as online videos adverts, resize and add interaction in Flash.

Solution

Firstly I layered and organised the .psd files. In After Effects I used various effects and expressions to animate the videos. Finally I resized the videos for various deliverables, adding interactive elements for publication online.

Task

Create edits from provided footage, keep within advert duration limits, colour grade and create a variety of advert formats.

Solution

Working with the source footage I helped choose shots and time correct them to fit the advert format durations. On some shots I motion track out background elements and added subtle effects. I colour graded the final edits and resized them for various online advert formats.

Gnarls Barkley

Task

Using the album artwork and music video clips create in two days a TV advert to promote the new Gnarls Barkley album.

Solution

Under creative direction, I took the supplied album artwork and split it into layers, in Afters Effects I used the artwork to build a 2.5D cityscape and create a camera fly-through. Unfortunately only a low-res version of the video survives.
